PLEASE NOTE:
The Maine Turnpike recently completed its 2004 Maine
Interstate Redesignation. This project affects driving
directions to Sunday River as follows:
1) Previously, the
Maine Turnpike was designated as I-95 from the NH boarder to South
Portland, then continued north as I-495. Under the new system, the
Turnpike is designated as I-95 for its entire length. The I-495
designation on older maps is now outdated.
2) The numbering
system for exits has changed to label exits by mileage rather than
numerical order. The exit for Sunday River / Route 26 in Gray,
Maine has changed from Exit 11 to Exit 63.
The redesignated #63 is based on the mileage from the start of the
Turnpike.

Our Step-By-Step
Directions to The Bear Lodge of Newry, Maine

Take:
-
Rt. 495 North from Rhode Island,
Connecticut, or Western Mass

Rt. 93 North from Boston, Logan
Airport, or South Shore
-
Rt. 128 North from outer Boston
-
To:
-
Rt. 95 North into Maine to the
Maine Turnpike/I-95.
-
To Exit 63, Gray, off the Maine
Turnpike.

Take right off exit ramp,
Left at First Traffic Light, another immediate Left at the
next Traffic Light.

Following signs for Route 26 North
towards Bethel, ME.

Keep following the signs
for Route 26 North for about 55 minutes towards Bethel.
Continue on towards
Sunday River.
Go past the Sunday River Brew
Pub.
After approximately 3 miles,
follow Route 26 as it turns left towards
Grafton
Notch State Park.
After approximately 1 mile,
after the white house with 3 garages, turn left by
the large evergreen tree into the
lodge's driveway.
The Bear Lodge is set back
from the road on this driveway!
